An important element of a successful shipping agency network

The port of Jeddah has been in existence for more the 2000 years and its strategic location, midway through the Red Sea, has ensured prosperity since its foundation. The Owners of the Arabian Establishment for Trade & Shipping Limited choose Jeddah as the ideal base for their shipping activities and established the Head Office close to Jeddah Islamic Port in 1962

Geared to providing ship owners with the high standard of service expected of today’s ship agent, AET rapidly set up of offices in all the major ports of Saudi Arabia. Manned by professional staff with the necessary expertise and knowledge to handle all aspects of ship agency work, AET prides itself on the quality of its teamwork, vitally important in ensuring a fast, efficient turnaround of the many ships entrusted to our care. Close co-operation with the Saudi Ports Authority Customs Coastguards and stevedoring companies is an essential feature of this teamwork.

AET maintains its competitive edge with round-the-clock agency service attendance so that ship owners can be sure their vessels receive first-class attention throughout their port stay. Our boarding agents, all highly-qualified experienced Saudi nationals, are responsible to the Operations Managers and are AET’s direct link with the ships we handle. Today AET acts as agents for a wide variety of ocean-going vessels ranging from container ships, general cargo vessels and car transporters to oil tankers, bulk product vessels as well as passenger and navy ships.

AET has always maintained a close liaison and an excellent working relationship, with marine officials, stevedores and container terminal operators resulting in a quality of service second-to-none in Saudi Arabia; a claim amply supported by the many years of continuous association AET has enjoyed with some of the worlds major ship operators.
