"Our Unique working
relationship with the port and customs authorities allows us to offer our client rapid
clearance of their cargoes."
In 1981
AET set up its own Clearing and Forwarding Divisions to simplify customs clearance
procedures for importers and exporters alike. The Divisions has expanded its range of
activities to include clearance through our own brokers, inland transportation and the
handling of full and groupage consignments.
Proper coordination and knowledge of our customers' needs has enabled AET to build up
excellent goodwill and create lasting business relations with its clientele.
Ours is a very personal service and its success is based on the strong working
relationship's with clients, port officials, the custom authorities, haulage companies and
the Chamber of Commerce created since the division was conceived.
"Diversification within and outside the oil-based economy provides AET customers with
a broad selection of import and export freight and handling solutions."
The rapid
changes which have taken place in Saudi Arabia are very apparent in the
constantly-increasing export cargo volumes. The medium-term national policy of
diversifying away from totally oil-based products to a more varied mix of industrial,
domestic and food products with export potential gave AET the opportunity of expanding its
export section into a fully-fledged Divisions. Keeping pace with the Kingdom's export
drive and equipped with the latest computer systems for export documentation, well-trained
staff of the AET Export department give Saudi shippers professional assistance from the
moment they book their cargoes with AET principals. The Export department also
co-ordinates the onward shipment of transshipment cargo to other destinations using AET
line operators and NVOCC feeder carriers - a growing sector of the market
in which AET is
well-experienced.
